A note about Virtual Memory

Generally, virtual memory slows down the performance of your Macintosh, however, OSBooster does reduce the likelihood of page swapping (moving blocks of memory between RAM and the virtual memory backing store on disk.). This can mean that for some applications the smallest virtual memory setting may be a little faster than turning virtual memory off (i.e. the benefit of more available memory outweighs the cost of running virtual memory). We believe that this is true for RealPC - however we do not have objective confirmation of this yet. You may also find that you can use a lower Free Memory setting under virtual memory. We encourage you to experiment and see what works best for you.
